Mental Health & Wellness
UMHS Mental Health Coordinator
Roxann Malmberg (541-667-6182)
I have worked in Early Childhood for many years while living in Idaho which included having my own child care business, being a substitute teacher grades kinder-4th grade, elementary school library assistant and a school volunteer.
I worked for OCDC for seven years in the positions of toddler teacher, CDA trainer and Education Coordinator before joining the UMCHS family in the year 2000. My work within the agency has consisted of EHS teacher, home visitor for EHS Homebase, Family Support & Connections (FSC) and Healthy Families, EHS CCP Coach/Mentor and presently EHS Development Specialist/Mental Health Coordinator.
My educational degree is in Early Childhood Development.
I find it very rewarding working with children, families and seeing our agency’s growth within the communities that we serve. I love walking into the classrooms and seeing the interactions between the children and the staff. UMCHS has the most caring and awesome employees that a company could ask for.
My spare time is spent with my family which consists of my husband, son, daughter in-law, daughter, son in-law, and our four grandchildren. We have 3 grandsons, 2 that play baseball and the oldest one is on the Hermiston High School Trapshooting team. Our one and only granddaughter participates in competitive dance and plays volleyball. The four of them keep us very busy and I love every minute of it. I also love to go camping and go on road trips.

Annette Chastain, LCSW, Principal Consultant
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Masters of Social Work from the University of Washington and reside in Redmond, OR. I started my career as a mental health specialist for children with extreme behaviors in schools, day treatment and Head Start agencies. This led to working with families, in-home parenting, outpatient mental health and clinical supervision. In 2003 I formed Chastain & Associates, LLC, a mental health consulting agency, with the goal of sharing my passion for mental health wellness, prevention and education to diverse communities. At the start of 2010 I was fortunate enough to begin my journey with Conscious Discipline®. I am currently a National Conscious Discipline® Certified Instructor working with schools, agencies, communities and Native American Tribes throughout the country.
Jenny Stewart
I received my Bachelor of Arts from Evergreen State College in my home state, Washington. My studies focused on applied sociology, trauma treatments, and the most effective ways to support the mental health of children. I have extensive experience supporting children impacted by trauma and/or social-emotional behavioral concerns. For the past seven years, I have worked with non-profit organizations, local school systems, and tribal communities to help children develop social-emotional skills. I also have two years of clinical experience implementing treatment plans for children with autism within an Applied Behavior Therapy (ABA) agency. Today, Conscious Discipline® is at the forefront of my work. I have assisted several early childhood educators and administrators in developing the skills and powers of Conscious Discipline® within themselves in order to authentically offer them to others, as well as in adapting Conscious Discipline® to best meet the unique needs of the children they serve. As a representative of Chastain Consulting Services, LLC, I can provide assistance by conducting observations of children, classrooms, and teachers, skill coaching and training, support plan writing, and consultations with teachers and parents.
