How Can I make my Hatch Computer Print?
How
can I change the passwords to the various kids desktops?
How
can I recalibrate the touchscreen?
How can I change the background of the Kid's Desktops in
Kid's Desk?
How can I add or
remove programs from a Kid's Desktop?
This is usually fixed with a few simple procedures that fix many PC problems.
First, make sure all cables are securely plugged in. A slight twist will unplug most cables enough to stop printing.
Secondly, restart the computer. Seems to easy, but will often reload correctly and fix any software conflicts that may have stopped printing.
Thirdly, go to the "Start" menu, click on "settings" and then "printers". Right Click on the printer attached to your system and go to "Properties". You should get a screen that has a button to "Print Test Page."
Other things to look at in terms of printing. There must be both color and ink cartridges in your system.
After changing ink cartridges, my printer keeps giving me an "Align Cartridges" screen before printing!
Every time you pull out a print cartridge, it will ask to be aligned, which is a simple process.
Go to the "Start" menu, click on "settings" and then "printers". Right Click on the printer attached to your system and go to "Properties".
You will see several tabs at the top of the the Properties window, select them and look for a button that says Align cartridges. Press it and run the alignment procedure. It will print two pages during this process and will stop the "align cartridges" error message before every print job.
I can not get my email when using WebAccess?
There are many reasons for this. It is really a two step process to get email. First, you must be connected somehow to the Internet, either by dialing OregonTrail Internet, by using a dedicated connection such as the WIC state system, or a connection through a school district. Secondly, you must be able to reach our Email Server at the Main Office.
If you are able to reach the login screen, you have satisfied both of these criteria and can do nothing further except to contact the Information Systems Manager at the Main Office. If you are not able to reach the login screen for email, please reboot your machine, reconnect to the internet, reopen your browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape) and try again. Still no luck? Please call the Information Systems Manager for further assistance.
If your logging in and it continues to tell you your password is invalid, please check your CAPS LOCK to make sure it is off, then retype your username and password at least three times. If this does not solve the issue, call the Information Systems Manager at the Main Office.
