| Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) |

The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a federally funded program that
reimburses approved family child care providers for serving United States
Department of Agriculture (USDA) guideline foods to the children in their care.
The CACFP is administered in Oregon through the Department of Education. Providers that are Registered with the Child Care Division, or Listed with the Department of Human Services Self Sufficiency Program are eligible to enroll in the USDA/CACFP The Child and Adult Care Food Program can help you with meal costs by reimbursing you for nutritious meals and snacks for children 12 and under that are in your care. Two meals and a snack or two snacks and a meal per day per child are included in the program. Providers may be eligible to claim their own children if they are within the income guidelines. Through the Child and Adult Care Food Program, providers will receive training and be given ideas for meals. Providers will also receive support with their questions and concerns and have the opportunity to form friendships with others in the child care business. |

The Child and Adult Care Food Program is part of the National School Lunch Act and is available without regard to race, color, sex, age, handicap or national origin.
