Hibernation Party The Pine Tree Head Start Hibernation party was a huge success. We invited parents to come, weeks ahead of time, in hopes that some could change their work schedule to be able to attend at least part of the festivities.
One of the best things about our Hibernation Party was we got to wear pajamas.
We had circle time where we went on a “Bear Hunt”, saw a video of grizzly bears fishing for salmon in Alaska, and chose a new book to take home. Even the parents enjoyed singing with us.
Jaily’s mom read us a book in Spanish.
We also played with our parents and made snowflakes and snowmen.
Meanwhile, our taste buds were getting excited, as we waited for the salmon and blueberries to be ready to eat. They were delicious! Each of us and our 13 guests were able to taste food that the bears eat before they hibernate.
Our cook, Lisa, made some delicious soup for all to enjoy before we went to hibernation.
Finally our parents got to read us our new books before we began our daily hibernation at rest time.
It was a fabulous day! |
