Team work - Darcee attended the Johnson & Johnson Fellowship Program where she prepared a Management Improvement Plan that she presented to the Administrative Team. THE MIP, through staff surveys, showed areas of strength and areas that need improvement. Although ht areas indicated a need for improvement could have proved to be sensitive or uncomfortable to discuss, Darcee presented them in a way that allowed for open communication and positive feedback, and set the tone for a good teamwork session around her Management Improvement Plan.

Leadership - Darcee is always positive and never forgets to give positive affirmations to the staff she supervises. She is fair, balanced and trusting.
Darcee is not afraid to think outside the box and look for the "impossible" solution. She asks for others input and listens to what they are saying; she always has time to brainstorm with fellow staff no matter how busy her schedule is. Darcee is a positive leader and inspires people to do the same.
Outstanding performance for the month nominated - Darcee did an outstanding job in creating the parent calendar this year. It is filled with resources, activities, and parent-child information in an appealing and family-friendly format. Many parents and classroom staff have commented on the helpfulness and the presentation of the calendar that has helped them in partnering to form goals and activities for parents and their children.
